The Modern Fish emerged out of necessity. After riding a classic Fish and Twin Fin, I aimed to infuse more performance elements into the honoured outline and design inherent to the classic fish.
Starting at the tip, a light single concave provides lift and planing speed, flowing into a double concave between the fins for added drive.
At the back, a slight kick and increased rocker aid tight turns. With a refined 10 1/2-inch tail block, the modern fish is metamorphosed into a high-velocity race car, diverging from the down-the-line drag racer archetype embodied by the classic fish.

The modern fish, in its evolved form, is typically ridden with slightly increased length and lower volume, contributing to its prowess on the waves.
